🦋 Welcome 🦋

Graduated from college with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology 👩🏻‍🎓, started a job (that I loved!) 🏥 , trained volleyball twice a week 🏐, was in a quite serious relationship 💑, I was healthy and well 🧘🏻‍♀️. You could say life was amazing 👌…I loved my life and was so excited for the future 🥰…suddenly I was locked inside my own body 🔒 …my journey to recovery from Locked-in syndrome began… 🔑👊💪👣!

Welcome to my blog, which was mainly created to share, but also to help, motivate and inspire others ❤️

Honestly, I was thinking about blogging ages ago and multiple times, but unfortunately I lacked that motivation to start. Thank you A.S (you know who you are) for suggesting and making me think about it again! Finally I made a move and here I am 💁🏻‍♀️

“The way to begin is to quit talking and start doing”

~ Walt Disney

Someone once told me that you cannot just eat an elephant in one piece, you have to take one bite at a time. That’s what my recovery is all about…small steps, step by step, no matrer the speed, as long as I’m moving forward! 👊💪👣🐢👧🏻. I lost nearly everything to stroke…the main loss amongst others is my independence. That hurts the most, but I refuse to give up fighting to get it back!

I’m hoping that by sharing my experiences, you might read something, maybe see a quote or watch a video that will trigger you to also start something you always thought about, or perhaps give you that necessary motivation to make that initial step forward, or just simply keep you going…I know that reading or watching positive stories of others helped me to keep going multiple times and I still fuel myself with those today. It’s now time for me to reciprocate. Maybe I can do that same thing for someone struggling as others did/still do for me? I didn’t know if I was doing the right thing by starting my own blog, but then one of my friends said this to me:

That sentence just confirmed that I was making the right decision. Even if I make people smile I’ll consider myself a winner and my blog a success! ☺️😊You can use that smile to change the world. Never let the world change your smile.! I’m going to leave it at that… and sorry for that typing mistake above, I meant to type “story” 😜
