Back in my country 🇵🇱, a nursing home is a place for old people that either want to go there, or don’t have any other choice. I never thought I would end up here, even as an old person I wouldn’t want to. It was a nightmare 😩. Life can change just like that, withContinue reading “Orwell Private”

National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) 🏥🇮🇪
September 2016-March 2017 I arrived at the NRH at the end of September 2016, and I was admitted to Gabriel’s Ward on the third floor. I never expected to be a patient there for this long 🙄, another 5-6 months🤦🏻♀️-seems to be my personal time limit, my standard for every new admission place 😂. MyContinue reading “National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) 🏥🇮🇪”
Goodbye hospital 👋🏥, Hello “home”🏠
March 2016-Żywiec, Poland 🇵🇱 After 6 long months, October 2015-March 2016, we were finally leaving the hospital to go home 👋🙌🙆🏻♀️. Yaaay! That GIF attached above 👆 best describes how I felt 😂! If only I could run… I’m calling the rehabilitation centre a hospital, because I couldn’t see much of a difference, in factContinue reading “Goodbye hospital 👋🏥, Hello “home”🏠”
Rehabilitation Centre-GCR Repty 🏥
December 2015 The whole time I was a patient of the Neurology ward I kept thinking about getting transferred to the rehabilitation centre. It took much longer than expected, but finally on the 7th of December 2015 I was being transferred. The only bad news was that they wouldn’t accept me without trachea 🙄🤷🏻♀️, soContinue reading “Rehabilitation Centre-GCR Repty 🏥”
The day I was told I’ll probably never speak again…😶😧
When I had the trachea in, I always thought that was the only reason I couldn’t talk (the air escaping). Again my lack of knowledge worked to my advantage…I was oblivious🤷🏻♀️. I allowed myself to use the images above, of some stroke survivors I know. This campaign #StillMe is very close to my heart. AllContinue reading “The day I was told I’ll probably never speak again…😶😧”
Neurology ward-continued
November 2015 🇵🇱 The good news (mentioned in my previous post) I got that day was that there was a semi-private room available next door, and I was being moved 🙌. My physiotherapist, that worked mainly in the Neurology ward, but was coming to see me while in ICU brought us the good news. ToContinue reading “Neurology ward-continued”
Admission to Neurology ward
November 2015 The next (new) chapter on my journey to recovery… I was being moved from ICU o the Neurology ward and suddenly my excitement was gone. I was crying 😢, when the nurses kissed and hugged me goodbye, not because I was upset, but because I was terrified of the unknown😰. The only thingContinue reading “Admission to Neurology ward”
